The paperwork behind every rescue photograph
Reputable animal charities are boring in exactly one respect: the documents. Here are ours, along with the spending split and the reporting cycle.
Trust in animal welfare monitoring is easy to claim and slow to earn. The only method we know is to publish the numbers, keep the invoices, and let partner shelters report in their own words, including when a project runs late or costs more than planned.
Two things we will not do: publish a photograph of a person without written permission, and use an animal’s suffering as a fundraising prop after the case is closed. When a case ends, the appeal ends with it.

How money is split
The share below is what our reporting shows across the current financial year.

Direct animal care and projects
Veterinary invoices, feed and medicine, building materials, plus fuel and transport for rescues.

Administration
Accounting, banking fees, audit, office costs and the coordinators who keep the network running.

Fundraising
Payment fees, translation, photography and the cost of reaching new donors.
The checks a request passes
Grants for animal welfare and private donations go through the same route. There is no separate fast lane for large donors.
- Written price from the clinic or the supplier before anything is approved.
- Payment goes to the provider, never as cash to an individual.
- Photographs before treatment and after it, with the animal identifiable in each one.
- Quarterly reports from partner shelters, with invoices attached.
- Annual figures published, including administration and fundraising.
Questions about the money
Can I see the reports before I donate?
Yes. Write to us and we will send the current quarterly report and the last annual figures as they stand, including the parts that are unflattering.
What happens to a donation that arrives after a project is fully funded?
It moves to the next project in the same direction of work and you receive an email telling you which one. Nothing sits idle in the account.
Who audits the foundation?
Accounts are prepared by an external accountant and reviewed annually. Partner shelters submit their own invoices, which we cross-check against our payments.
